A little about me

Hello, I’m Jane, and this is a bit about me, my life and professional career that got me here!

I trained at the Nottingham Trent University with a BA hons in Social Studies and got my qualifications to become a social worker, all the way back in 1989.

Since 1990, I have worked in various roles ranging from team member to manager. My approach is not directive; instead, I assist individuals in discovering solutions independently.

My perspective shifted significantly when I began working with people who have experience with alcohol issues and hoarding. These interactions provided important insights into practical strategies for addressing behavioural challenges.

Over the last decade, I have adopted new methods in my work, focusing on listening, guidance, coaching, and pursuing relevant qualifications.

Through these experiences, I learned how sustainable behavioural change can be achieved through practical approaches.

This process has also encouraged self-reflection regarding my own behaviours and a broader awareness of the common desire amongst us for personal change.

With three decades of experience related to addictive behaviours, ongoing professional development, and formal qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring, I now offer independent support services to individuals seeking personalised assistance.

Additionally, I bring extensive life experience, including navigating loss, bereavement, trauma, and family challenges. Becoming self employed and managing change.

These experiences inform my objective and supportive approach, and I continue to be interested in the diverse experiences of others.
