A little about me

Hello, I’m Jane, and this is a bit about me, my life and professional career that got me here!
I trained at the Nottingham Trent University with a BA hons in Social Studies and got my qualifications to become a social worker, all the way back in 1989.
Since 1990, I have worked in various roles ranging from team member to manager. My approach is not directive; instead, I assist individuals in discovering solutions independently.
My perspective shifted significantly when I began working with people who have experience with alcohol issues and hoarding. These interactions provided important insights into practical strategies for addressing behavioural challenges. Those skills are useful in all areas of life.
Over the last decade, I have adopted new methods in my work, focusing on listening, guidance, coaching, and pursuing relevant qualifications. With my experience and interest highlighting how much perimenopause and menopause can influence women.
I learned how change can be achieved through practical approaches.
Often, feeling stuck or uncertain can be shifted with coaching.
This process has also encouraged self-reflection regarding my own behaviours and a broader awareness of the common desire amongst us for personal change at different times in our life.
With three decades of experience related to addictive behaviours, ongoing professional development around menopause, and formal qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring, I now offer individual Coaching to people seeking a personalised approach to change happening in their life.
Additionally, I bring extensive life experience, including navigating loss, bereavement, trauma, and family challenges. Becoming self employed and managing change.
These experiences inform my objective and supportive approach, and I continue to be interested in the diverse experiences of others.
I'm always happy for a chat and see if we could work together!
"Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong"
